Greg Van Borrsum

A failed school kid, Greg was told by his teachers he would amount to nothing. But instead of listening to them, he chose to listen to himself. He immersed himself deeply into the world of martial arts and bodybuilding and it was here, forging his body, he uncovered the power of the Warrior mindset.

Then using the 'Warriors Code' he developed a method of thinking he calls 'Reapplication Of Mastery'. This mindset has allowed Greg to transfer his existing skill sets into each new area of life and rapidly rise to the top in each, eventually becoming a Karate Master and a champion.

At 21, Greg was a national bodybuilding champion, a three-time Mr Universe finalist and a multiple black belt martial artist.

Greg became a World Champion pistol shooter in 2014 when he and his teammate Craig Ginger won the NRA World Action Pistol Championship in Park City, Kentucky.

Greg has also tried his hand at filmmaking, becoming “digital crowds and motion capture director” – creating, designing, motion capturing and laying out the digital crowd scenes – on the Oscar-winning film "Happy Feet" and award-winning "Happy Feet Two". Eventually he became fight choreographer and weapons advisor on the movie Mad Max: Fury Road.

In addition, Greg is an International speaker, mental health advocate, ambassador and speaker for Lifeline, Suicide Prevention Australia and Mates In Construction.

The successes are not what made Greg. It was forging his pathway to those achievements that taught Greg the value of the Warriors Code – battling through failure and loss. It was his resilience as a warrior that gave Greg the strength to turn setbacks into comebacks, making him the mentor and the speaker he is today.

Greg will present the education session Mind Warrior at 9am Saturday.

Michael Malone

Michael is an Australian technology entrepreneur and business executive. He was a co-founder and Managing Director of the Perth-based telecommunications provider iiNet and over the years he has been an advocate for Internet consumer rights.

Michael Malone and Michael O'Reilly founded iiNet in 1993. The business started in a suburban garage in Perth as iiNet Technologies Pty Ltd and one of the first Australian ISPs to offer TCP/IP Internet access, as opposed to the store-and-forward techniques (such as MHSnet) that were then in use at other ISPs.

The company outgrew its suburban home in 1995 and moved to CBD office accommodation yet its early growth during the Internet boom was hampered by the ability of Telstra (not releasing Bigpond as an ISP until 1997) to cope with the demand of needed telephone lines, and by the sheer competitive pressure in the Perth market, which had a comparative oversupply of low-cost providers.

In 1996, iiNet successfully expanded into the Adelaide market under the name light.iinet.net.au.

During his executive tenure at iiNet, Michael aggressively grew the company by making acquisitions of leading ISPs all over the Australian market, to become the third biggest ISP in Australia. He was also a passionate advocate for Internet consumer rights in regards to privacy as well contributing to the metadata debate.

Michael stepped aside as Managing Director in early 2014. In 2015, iiNet was acquired by TPG Telecom for $1.56 billion.

Michael maintains more than 25 years in the technology and telco arena. He also holds board roles with multiple companies including Speedcast, Superloop, Diamond Cyber and NBN Co. In November 2018, he was appointed as the Chairman for the Perth-headquartered satellite company Sky and Space Global, with the vision of becoming a world renowned nano-satellite service provider, reaching everyone everywhere, with voice and data services.

Michael will present an education session at 11:45am Saturday.
