Conference Venues and Special Awards usually given at Conferences
Year Venue Tamworth Travel Gavel Communication and Leadership Award The Jazzer Smith Award
    Presented by Tamworth Club in 1969 to recognise the Club with the greatest proportion of members travelling the greatest distance to the Conference. Gavel upgraded for District 90 in 2016. Presented by District 90 on behalf of Toastmasters International to a non-Toastmaster who has displayed outstanding communication and leadership skills in the community. A commemorative award that is presented each year to a Toastmaster showing some of the attributes of Jazzer Smith, being courage to achieve and motivate others despite suffering great personal difficulties.
